Mio Saito

Mio Saito, born on December 21, 2001, is a talented violinist from Japan who began playing the violin in 2005 and received her musical training at the renowned Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan. From 2017 to 2022, she studied there with Prof. Shizuko Ishii and continued her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Lothar Strauss. In addition to her training, she took part in a master class with Prof. Tedi Papavrami in 2020. She has already gained valuable orchestral experience, including as a member of the Webern Chamber Philharmonic and the Webern Symphony Orchestra in Vienna. In 2024 and 2025, she played in the oratorio concerts at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater and performed at the Reichenau Festival in 2023. Her talent has been recognized with several awards, including 5th place at the 2020 Cecilia International Music Competition and a Promotion Prize at the Junior Classical Music Competition in Japan. With technical brilliance, musical depth, and a unique stage presence, Mio Saito captivates her audiences and continues her journey in the classical music scene with great passion.
